The Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Bakersfield was quickly outgrowing its current facility with no room for new patients, and M. J. Harris stepped up to complete two essential additions to the existing hospital. Our project team collaborated closely with the hospital administration and staff to provide the most effective and least disruptive service. For the first addition, M. J. Harris transformed a large speech therapy space (nearly 3,800 square feet) into a new classroom and renovated various other spaces into new patient rooms. The second addition simply expanded the hospital’s capacity with a new 20-bed wing and therapy space. Throughout the renovation process, M. J. Harris and Encompass Health worked together as one, strong team, and the result was overwhelmingly positive for everyone.
