  • Overview

    The basic function of the Assistant Superintendent is to oversee the day-to-day direction of construction site field operations. This includes supervising field trades, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work progresses smoothly and on schedule.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist in the management of all on-site operations including safety enforcement, project scheduling, subcontractor management, and client relations

    • Understand each contractor’s scope of work as defined by each respective Purchase Order/Subcontract

    • Monitor the day-to-day installation of construction systems and ensure systems are installed in accordance with contract documents and manufacturer installation instructions

    • Maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel, facility employees, and visitors at all times

    Job Requirements

    • Four (4) or more years of experience in healthcare or medical facility construction

    • Proficiency in Prolog Manager is preferred

    • Ability to travel or relocate regularly to assigned projects

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Overview

    The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Project Manager.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Prepare, review, and issue Purchase Orders/Contracts

    • Complete all submittals, change orders, RFIs, and related documentation in a timely manner

    • Prepare and consistently maintain the Material Status Log

    • Prepare monthly progress billings to the Owner

    • Oversee the assembly of all close-out documentation

    • Maintain excellent Owner, Architect, and Subcontractor relationships

    Job Requirements

    • 3–4 years of experience in healthcare or medical facility construction as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager

    • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office applications

    • Willingness to travel frequently to assigned projects

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Overview

    Our entry-level field position, the Field Engineer, is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities on the construction site. This includes coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing the project schedule, and maintaining regular communication with the entire project team.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform surveying tasks using layout instruments such as transits and levels

    • Enforce quality control standards by inspecting subcontractors’ work and completing required forms or checklists (anchor bolt checklist, concrete placement log, above-ceiling punch list, etc.)

    • Maintain a safe job site in accordance with OSHA standards

    • Update and maintain field drawings

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction or related field

    • OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour certification preferred

    • Regular travel / relocation to assigned projects

  • Overview

    The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing complete estimates and proposals, regardless of size and complexity, for the Client/Owner in both negotiated and hard-bid scenarios.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Oversee the preparation of routine proposals, including development of bid package documents, subcontractor and vendor solicitation requirements, maintaining the status of active and inactive subcontractors and vendors (project specific), preparation of quantity takeoffs, evaluation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, preparation of Standard Estimate Reports, preparation of Owner Proposals, and related tasks

    • Study drawings, specifications, addenda, amendments, allowances, Owner-Furnished Equipment requirements, and other documentation to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate

    • Provide technical assistance and training to Estimators and Assistant Estimators to support the successful delegation and preparation of estimates for assigned bids

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of estimating experience with a comparable construction operation

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ConstructConnect Takeoff, and Timberline Estimating

    • Ability to accurately prepare cost estimates for general conditions (job overhead, equipment, materials, professional services, bonds, insurance, profit, etc.)

  • Overview

    Our Assistant Estimators and Estimators play an important role in the development of project estimates of various sizes and complexities. These positions are based in our Birmingham, AL Corporate Office.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist in the preparation of routine project proposals including development of bid package documents, preparation of quantity takeoffs, subcontractor and vendor solicitation, evaluation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, preparation of Standard Estimate Reports, and related tasks

    • Review construction documents to ensure quantity and cost estimates are prepared accurately and completely

    • Ensure final cost estimates are precise and competitive relative to bid documents and current market trends

    • Assist in the preparation of formal bid quotations for delivery and presentation to the client

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or comparable experience with an equivalent construction operation is required. Assistant Estimators typically have 0–2 years of relevant experience, while Estimators typically have 3–5 years

    • Working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office applications

    • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and multitask efficiently
