UAB invited MJ Harris back to complete another project consisting of the demolition of existing structures and construction of the Technology Innovation Center for UAB, approximately 40,178 SF of gross area. The project also included site improvements including but not limited to regrading, new storm lines, utility connections, etc. The building hosts UAB’s IT nerve center: the UAB supercomputer, campus internet connectivity, technology infrastructure, collocation services, data highway connecting researchers throughout the UA System; housing individual and collaborative work spaces; housing information; and security operations center.
