M. J. Harris provided General Contracting services on a LEED Silver Residence Hall and Dining Facility for UAB. It is a U-shaped, post-tension concrete structure on deep foundations with brick veneer, cast stone, curtainwall and storefront. The building has a five-story, six-story, and seven-story terraced wing and includes a storm shelter. UAB is a dense, urban campus, and we constructed this project on a small, compact site amidst a fully functional college campus.
