The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers Football Team is a major point of pride for the city of Birmingham, and through the incredible support and rallying efforts of the community, the team was brought back to life after a controversial decision to eliminate the program. M. J. Harris was brought on board to complete a new, world class facility for the Blazers as they neared a highly-anticipated return to the field. Our team formed a winning partnership with UAB and committed to finish the Football Operations Center and Legacy Pavilion by the start of the new season. With a tight 9-month timeline, M. J. Harris kicked off the project at record speed and worked relentlessly until every last detail was completed. The sleek new facility houses the locker room, training room, nutrition area, weight room, and players lounge on the first level and coaches offices and meeting rooms on the second level. On the exterior of the building, several balconies overlook the adjacent open-air, covered football practice field. This state-of-the-art facility was a monumental development for UAB that completely transformed the northwest entrance to campus, and it is a symbolic representation of the city of Birmingham’s undying support for the beloved football program. As a Birmingham-based company, we were honored to be apart of achieving this historic milestone.
