Owner City of Hoover

Square Footage 150,000 sf

The Hoover Metropolitan Complex is home of the legendary SEC Baseball Tournament. The event brings in thousands of fans from across the South who pack out the stands to watch their favorite teams compete. With the beginning of the SEC Baseball Tournament quickly approaching, M. J. Harris was contracted to build the Finley Center at the Hover Metropolitan Complex. The new indoor venue was designed to be the perfect complement to the grand stadium, offering fans more exciting activities outside of ballgames. Our team broke ground in October with a final deadline of May. The scope of work included an impressive,154,00-square-foot indoor recreational space with 11 basketball courts, 17 volleyball courts, 3 meeting rooms, an elevated walking track and climbing wall, plus a full-service kitchen and food court. With the city of Hoover cheering us on, we successfully completed the new facility in time for the first pitch of the opening game. It was another winning project for the books.
