  • Assistant Project Manager

    The Assistant Project Manager is ultimately responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Project Manager.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Prepare, review, and issue Purchase Orders / Contracts
    • Complete all submittals, change orders, RFIs, and so forth in a timely manner
    • Prepare and consistently maintain Material Status Log
    • Prepare monthly progress billings to owner
    • Oversee the assembly of all close-out documentation
    • Maintain excellent Owner, Architect, and Subcontractor relations
    Job Requirements
    • 3 - 4 years experience in healthcare / medical facility construction as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
    • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office applications

  • Assistant Superintendent

    The basic function of the Assistant Superintendent is to be accountable for the day-to-day direction of construction site “field” operations. This requires supervising and directing the field trades, coordinating the subcontractors, and keeping the work progressing smoothly and on schedule.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Assist in the management of all onsite operations including safety enforcement, project scheduling, subcontractor management, and client relations
    • Understand each contractor’s scope of work as defined by each respective Purchase Order / Subcontract
    • Monitor the day-to-day installation of all construction systems and assure systems are installed per the requirements of the contract documents and manufacturer’s installation instructions
    • Produce a safe working environment for all site personnel, facility employees, and visitors at all times
    Job Requirements
    • Four (4) or more years of experience in healthcare / medical facility construction
    • Proficiency in Prolog Manager is preferred

  • Estimator (Birmingham, AL)

    Our Assistant Estimators and Estimators play an important role in the development of project estimates of various sizes and complexities. These positions remain available in our Birmingham, AL Corporate Office.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Assist in the preparation of routine project proposals including development of bid package documents, preparation of quantity take-offs, subcontractor and vendor solicitation, evaluation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, preparation of Standard Estimate Report, and so forth
    • Review construction documents for the purpose of ensuring quantity and cost estimates have been created complete
    • Ensure final cost estimates are precise and competitive relative to bid documents and market trends
    • Assist in the preparation of formal bid quotation for delivery and presentation to Client
    Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or related field or previous and comparable experience with an equivalent construction operation is required. Assistant Estimators may possess 0-2 years of relevant experience, while Estimators may possess 3-5 years of relevant experience.
    • Working knowledge of On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam Revu, and all MS Office applications
    • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and be able to multi-task efficiently

  • Field Engineer

    Our entry-level field position, the Field Engineer is generally tasked with monitoring the day-to-day activities on the construction site. This includes daily coordination with subcontractors, regular review of the project schedule, and frequent communication with the entire project team.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Perform surveying tasks by using layout instruments such as transits and levels
    • Enforce quality control standards by checking subcontractors’ work and completing applicable forms or checklists (anchor bolt checklist, concrete placement log, above ceiling punch list, and so forth)
    • Maintain safe work site in accordance with OSHA standards
    • Update and maintain field drawings
    Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction or related field
    • OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour certification preferred

    The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for producing documentation necessary to provide evidence that all work has been performed in accordance with the contract documents. This position will be based in either our Birmingham, AL corporate office or our Nashville, TN satellite office.

  • Senior Estimator (Birmingham, AL)

    The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing complete estimates and proposals, regardless of size and complexity, to the Client / Owner in both negotiated and hard-bid snearios.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Oversee the preparation of routine proposals including development of bid package documents, subcontractor and vendor solicitation requirements, maintaining status of active and inactive subcontractors and vendors (project specific), preparation of quantity take-offs, evaluation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, preparation of Standard Estimate Report, preparation of Owner Proposal, and so forth.
    • Study drawings, specifications, addendums, amendments, allowances, Owner Furnished Equipment requirements, and so forth to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
    • Provide technical assistance and training to Estimators and Assistant Estimators necessary to successfully acquire successful delegation of preparing estimates for assigned bids.
    Job Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in estimating with an equivalent construction operation.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Construct Connect Takeoff, and Timberline Estimating.
    • Proficient ability to appropriately estimate and prepare a cost estimate for general conditions (job overhead, equipment, materials, professional services, bonds, insurance, profit, etc.)

    The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the construction project and oversees the work of the entire project team. The Superintendent is the highest-ranked authority on the construction site and is fully responsible for the success / outcome of the project.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Manage and oversee all onsite operations including safety enforcement, project scheduling, subcontractor management, and client relations
    • Monitor and enforce the completion of documentation associated with Weekly Safety Meetings, Foreman’s Meetings, OAC Meetings, and Daily Subcontractor Reports
    • Manage on-site cost effectively (includes contract labor, purchases, equipment rental, subcontractor work orders, etc.) and complete the project within the cost budget
    • Produce a safe working environment for all site personnel, facility employees, and visitors at all times
    Job Requirements
    • Six (6) or more years of experience in healthcare / medical facility construction
    • Proficiency in Procore is preferred
    • Regular travel / relocation to assigned projects
