With the start of college football season just around the corner, the UAB Football Operations Facility project has passed the state final inspection. Our project team has worked tirelessly over the last 9 months to turn over a-one-of-a-kind facility as the UAB football program nears the first season of its much awaited return.
The new building houses the locker room, training room, nutrition area, weight room and a players’ lounge all on the first level, with the coaches’ offices and meeting rooms on the second level. The building also features exterior balconies that look out over the adjacent open-air covered football practice field. Without doubt this addition to the UAB campus has changed the landscape of downtown Birmingham and of the UAB Football Program.
